Karen Hulme Alegi is a founding partner of Alegi Anderson LC. Karen’s current practice includes family law, estate planning, litigation and real estate. Karen’s legal experience in real estate transactions combined with being a licensed real estate broker allow her to assist seller, buyers and our realtor partners with their commercial or residential real estate matters. In addition to real estate litigation and settlements Karen has over the last decade includes a range of practices, including domestic violence advocacy with The Women’s Law Center and appellate practice in both state and federal courts. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star from 2012 through 2017. Karen is the current Co-Chair of the BAMC Lawyer Assistance Committee and also serves on Peer Review Panels for the Attorney Grievance Commission. She serves on the Board of Trustees and as Treasurer of her church in Germantown. Karen is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from West Chester University in Pennsylvania and her J.D., cum laude, from The Catholic University of America. Karen and her husband Matt live in Clarksburg with their two children, Gus and Isabella.
