Dr. Betty Ritter Seltzer is a business owner specializing in Property and Casualty, Business Insurance, Bonds, Life Insurance and Annuities. She has been a licensed insurance agent since 2005. Offering life insurance to clients started as a hobby and manifested into a passion to help others protect their assets. Her goal as a Farmers Insurance Agent/CEO is to empower others by sharing information about the benefits of insurance and planning for the future. Her mantra is if you fail to plan you are planning to fail (Ben Franklin). She encourages others, especially women, to proactively plan and invest for their future.

She is a former federal government manager with nearly 30-years of service in the human capital arena (i.e., Benefits, Retirement, Employee Relations, Operations and Compliance). Being a Benefits Counselor was her most rewarding position during her career tenure in the federal government because she was able to assist employees and their family members.

She conducts presentations or panels with local businesses, i.e., BB&T, Prince Georges Chamber of Commerce, USBC-Wash, DC, Women Business Owners-Prince Georges, HomeFreeUSA, Sisters4Sisters Network, Inc., Coalition of 100 Black Women, and the Business Center(s) in Prince Georges, & Montgomery Counties. She gives back to students by being a Mentor for the P-TECH Program at Frederick Douglas H.S. and is an Employer Participant for the Career Development Program at Charles H. Flowers High School. Dr. Seltzer has an earned Doctorate of Philosophy degree, in Business Administration, from Northcentral University, and a published dissertation (Exploring How Spirituality Shapes Workplace Ethical Perceptions Among African American Women, 2009). She is a native New Yorker, God-fearing, a wife for over 30 years and blessed to be the mother of three awesome sons.
