Laura Rojas

Laura Rojas, a Co-Founder and President of Washington Consulting Corporation, is a recognized expert in international trade and business development. Ms. Rojas leads the company’s training, technical assistance and advisory services to governments, private companies and business associations, addressing a wide range of international trade and investment issues. She specializes in identifying client needs and conceptualizing, developing, and monitoring projects.

 

Before joining the company, Ms. Rojas worked at the InterAmerican Development Bank for 5 years, in Washington DC. Fluent in English, both in writing and orally, in addition to her native Spanish, she has travelled extensively throughout the Western hemisphere, especially in the Andean countries. Ms. Rojas also served in the Cabinet of the Government of Venezuela as Vice Minister of Economic Development, Vice President of the Foreign Trade Institute, and Senior Adviser for Venezuela's trade policy reform. Ms Rojas has been Head of Delegation in different international fora, including the WTO.

 

A Venezuelan economist and graduate of the Andres Bello Catholic University in Caracas, Ms. Rojas holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
